Administrator/Elder- Nancy and Mark Mcdade

Nancy works nearly full time as the church Office Administrator and Mark doubles as Elder and “tech guy." Mark, Nancy and their two children, Pam and Lee, moved to Connecticut from the Midwest in 1990 and know all about “culture shock.” The good news is they adjusted and after wondering what on earth they were doing so far from home they saw God’s awesome hand in their lives. Their children are now young adults with Pam living in Annapolis MD and Lee going for his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at RIT. They both love being part of this body of Christ at Northeast Community Church and feel really blessed that God has directed them here.

What their neighbors might say:

“You may be a red-neck if:” you have 2 Corvettes (and want a pick-up) in Fairfield County.

Favorite Bible Verses:

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O Man, what is good. And what does He require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I Timothy 6:15,16 God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and might, forever. Amen

Elder/Director of Discipleship - Frank and Kathy Starvel

What would make a seemingly sane couple who have lived in Greenwich since 1969 and raised three children there---brave I-95 traffic to worship and participate at Northeast Community in Norwalk?

Kathy and Frank say that it’s worth it. They attribute it to the people, the worship, and the adventurous and full life in trying to follow God. They also keep busy with other activities that include: scuba, golf, and equestrian, travel, shooting and reading.

Kathy’s favorite verse:
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Frank’s favorite verse:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. [6] Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.
